Now keep in touch with your friends within your area through the new Latitude feature of Google Maps
The Google Maps team has rolled out the all new Latitude feature for sharing user location with friends and family. Apart for sharing location, users can keep in touch with their friends and family through SMS, Google Talk, Gmail, or updating status messages. One can go to www.google.com/latitude on the desktop or cell phone to download the application and start sharing his/her location.
Google Latitude is available on Symbian 60 based phones, iPhone-iPod Touch, colored Blackberry phones and Android based phones. For desktops, the Latitude gets an added iGoogle page.
